Sigma Phi Epsilon Chapter of NC Pi was recolonized in the Spring of 2018 with the mission of changing the status quo of Greek life on the campus of WCU. Within that mission, SigEp at WCU has remained committed to recruiting men who embody our values and ideals of Sound Mind and Sound Body. We were granted our charter in the Fall of 2020.

Our chapter takes great pride in our diversity and our unwavering commitment to stand up for what we believe in and what we believe is the direction Greek life at WCU should be going towards. We have started to achieve these goals and set a standard, earning championships in multiple Greek League Intramural Sports in addition to holding two positions on the Inter Fraternity Council.

Since our recharter we have become a top Fraternity in the Western Community, earning a "Top Recruitment" honor as well as the Talent Power Award for excellence in recruiting. We maintain a manpower size of 42 current members with a huge perspective rush class in the fall of 2026.

NC-PI has maintained the highest IFC GPA on campus for over 6 semesters in a row. We are also working towards accrediting our SigEp Learning Community.

In terms of campus involvement our brotherhood has made an impact, holding positions as Resident Assistants, Tutors in the Writing and Learning Commons, members of club sports.

SigEp at Western Carolina has begun to and continues to shape the landscape of both Greek Life and the surrounding community with our founding message that "This Fraternity Will Be Different".
